Plenty of space and surfaces to put washbags, etc. Clean as a whistle. Double shower again, no bath. Nothing fancy, just everything you need!

The View
Our room overlooked the street below and out towards John Lewis. Nothing really much to look at, but nothing to take offence at either. I bet the view from the penthouse is pretty great though, if you want to splash the cash.

Location & Parking
The location of the hotel is brilliant. Right across from John Lewis and Liverpool One (the main shopping area). The bar downstairs does good food and booze, and the city centre restaurants are on your doorstep. It’s a little further away for Paul, however, hence the 4 out of 5.
On-site parking! Woop! Strange setup though. You pull up to the metal gates, and then you have to call reception, who let you in. You then descend down the steepest ramp I have ever seen into the bowels and depths of hell (aka their underground car park). From there it’s a simple lift up to reception, although they have two lifts, which is weird.

Room Types
As an aparthotel, your apartment comes with a well-appointed fitted kitchen. We stayed in the one-bed apartment, but I believe there are two-bed apartments and penthouses, if you want to treat yourself to something special.
The rooms are a little ‘blingy’ for my taste - chandeliers seem a little unnecessary to me, but I guess some people like it. The room feels spacious and light, and that’s what matters to me most.
Work Space & Wifi
No designated desk area in the apartment, although the dining table was large and by a plug socket.

Things We Loved
The customer service here is really excellent. Any issues have been resolved immediately, and they are more than happy to accommodate room choice if they have availability.
The view is also to die for, and the street outside is quiet - we experienced no disruption from any kind of noise, unlike when you’re in the city centre.
Dockside is close to Albert Dock which I like to potter around on my lunch break.
Will We Return?
The wifi incident was unfortunate in our last stay, which has made us hesitant. For me, it’s just a little too far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We do, however, sometimes have our children with us during the school holidays, and Dockside makes a good base for that. There is a McDonald’s across the wharf that is visible from the apartments, so they can be sent off on their own when teenage tummies rumble, and you can see them all the time.
So yes, we may be back. But not necessarily for work.
Cost of Parking
Well worth paying the rate although you miaght need to check first with the hotel about avaiablity of their carpark, just to be on the safe side.

Room Storage
Not masses of storage in the bedroom. If you were staying more than a couple of nights, it would probably be useful to have somewhere to unpack properly. For two nights, I don’t mind living out of a suitcase, but I (of course) would love the option of somewhere to put my knickers.

No shortage of food and drink options a stone’s throw from the entrance (in fact, for the bar you don’t even need to leave the building - there’s an adjoining door).
